About the Artist & Vision

Midwest Fine Art Photographer | Missouri & Colorado

Fine Art Photography for Healthcare & Healing

My path to photography did not begin in a college, studio, or gallery. It began in healthcare.

Before focusing fully on fine-art photography, I worked in healthcare marketing and later in physical therapy—fields centered on observation, patience, and human presence.

Today I create fine-art photography for healthcare, hospitality, and senior living environments. Based in the Midwest, my work draws from Missouri, Colorado, and the American Southwest, capturing landscapes shaped by light, atmosphere, and stillness.

Background:

With a background in healthcare and an understanding of Evidence-Based Design, I create imagery that brings restorative views of nature into interior spaces. My goal is to reduce stress and support well-being for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

Influenced by the visual traditions of Andrew Wyeth,  Hiroshi Sugimoto, Edward Hopper, Ernest Haas, and Ansel Adams, I offer museum-grade limited-edition archival prints for collectors, designershealthcare facilities, and architectural projects.

I have an ongoing photographic project to document Paint St. Louis, flood wall murals.

Artistic Influences:

My work is a dialogue between the stark realism of Andrew Wyeth and the ethereal minimalism of Hiroshi Sugimoto. By focusing on light, time, and essential forms, I seek to create images that offer a sense of 'meditative stillness'—a quality particularly vital in healthcare and restorative environments.

Appearances:

My work has appeared in galleries, cultural institutions, and regional art fairs across Missouri and Colorado, and is collected by private buyers and organizations seeking artwork that is calming, intentional, and enduring.

Selected Exhibitions include: Forest Park Community College, Saint Louis Community College, Green Door Gallery, Hermann Library Gallery, at Busey Bank, Commerce Bank, and Webster Arts Gallery, where I've won best in show and honorable mention for some of my work.

Current Art Fair Schedule:

Based in the Midwest, I provide fine-art photography and consultation services for projects in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Denver.
