Neptune's Court is a study of grandeur, myth, and the particular theater of Roman Baroque design. Photographed at dawn at the Trevi Fountain, the image captures Nicola Salvi's monumental composition in full — Oceanus and his attendant tritons commanding sea horses through a cascade of carved travertine, set against the ochre façade of the Palazzo Poli.
